Artesian Well Projectby Evalu8 Pro Start a pilot

How it works

From the wellhead to your screen.

Three parts and one team: a sensor unit on the well, a satellite link that works wherever the unit can see the sky, and Evalu8 Pro watching every reading. Here is what each part does, and how a pilot runs.

The unit, the link and the platform

Most monitoring projects stall between the parts: a sensor from one supplier, a modem from another, a dashboard nobody opens. We deliver the whole chain.

THE UNIT

A sensor unit on the well

Hardware designed for the wellhead and fitted to its pipework. It measures the flow, and the readings your wells need besides, such as pressure, water level or water quality.

It runs on its own power and reports its battery like any other reading, so a unit that is running down is seen before it goes quiet.

THE LINK

A link to the sky

Readings go up through a low-power satellite link, so the unit works wherever it can see the sky. No mobile network, wifi or local staff are needed to send them.

If the link is blocked for a while, the unit keeps its readings and sends them when it can, and they slot into their proper place. Sending the same reading twice is harmless. If a unit stays quiet for longer than you allow, Evalu8 Pro raises an alert.

THE PLATFORM

Evalu8 Pro, watching every well

Every reading is checked as it arrives. A well with no flow, or a unit gone quiet, raises an alert by itself. When a well drifts, Evalu8 Pro suggests the likely cause with its reasons. After a repair, a watch checks the flow comes back.

Flow adds up to litres delivered for every well, community, programme and funder. And anyone on the team can ask a question in plain English and get an answer that names the records it used.

Askquestions about your own wells

Which wells in the east programme gave less water this week than last?

Three of the 48:

  • Well 22, Market road: no flow since 06:40 on Thursday.
  • Well 17, River crossing: down 49%, with a likely blocked outlet waiting to be confirmed.
  • Well 05, Bridge end: down 12%, within its usual week-to-week change.

OPTIONAL

Act from anywhere, with a person in charge

Where a well has a remote valve or pump controller, its controls appear as buttons on its page: close down an uncontrolled flow, or cut back to stay inside a licence. Each press asks for confirmation, is logged with who pressed it, and only counts as done when the well’s own readings show the change.

The controller keeps its own safety limits, and the well carries on as it is if the link drops. Evalu8 Pro asks; it never takes over.

People decide

Likely causes are confirmed or corrected by your team, and controls run only when someone allowed to presses the button.

Bring your own loggers

Any logger or gateway that can send readings over the internet can post them to Evalu8 Pro, and a telemetry provider with an API can be connected directly.

How a pilot runs.

A pilot proves the units, the link and the alerts on your own wells, with your own team, before you commit to more.

  1. STEP 1

    Survey

We look at your wells, your sites and what you need to report, and agree what to measure where.

  2. STEP 2

    Fit and connect

We fit the units to the wells and bring them online by satellite, or connect the loggers you already have.

  3. STEP 3

    Describe and watch

We describe your programme in Evalu8 Pro and set the alert limits with your team, who see every well from the first reading.

  4. STEP 4

    Learn and grow

Every confirmed cause sharpens the suggestions. Then add wells, regions and partners to the same account.

Questions

Do the wells need mobile coverage or wifi?
No. The unit reports by satellite, so it works wherever it can see the sky. Nobody on site needs to do anything to send the readings.
What happens if the satellite link drops?
The unit keeps its readings and sends them when the link is back, and Evalu8 Pro puts late readings in their proper place. If a unit stays quiet for longer than you allow, it raises an alert.
What does the unit measure?
Flow, first of all. Pressure, water level or water quality can be added where your wells need them, and the unit reports its own battery too.
We already have loggers. Can we use them?
Yes. Any logger or gateway that can send its readings over the internet can post them to Evalu8 Pro, and a telemetry provider with an API can be connected directly.
Who owns the data?
You do. Download the whole description of your wells at any time, and read every well, reading and repair through the API.
Can we start small?
Yes. Most programmes start with a pilot on a handful of wells, then add wells, regions and partners to the same account as they grow.
Is AI deciding what is wrong with a well?
No. Likely causes come from rules that weigh the evidence in the readings, with the reasons shown, and a person on your team confirms or corrects every one. Ask, the built-in assistant, answers questions about your wells and names the records it used.
Can it control the well?
Only where there is a valve or pump controller to ask, and only when someone allowed to presses the button. The controller keeps its own safety limits, every press is logged, and it only counts as done when the readings show it.
Is it only for artesian wells?
No. Artesian wells are where pressure matters most, but the same platform watches pumped boreholes, springs, tanks and piped schemes. The sensors change; the platform does not.
How are alerts shown?
On the dashboard, on Monitoring and on the well’s own page, where your team acknowledges them. Your own systems can read open alerts through the API.
